An apartment project for a family with a child and two cats in the historical part of Saint Petersburg.
The main issue with the existing layout was the corridor solution of the hall, which occupied quite a big area of the apartment. It was important for the client to integrate this area into the family space. Instead of the dressing room, which formed a narrow corridor, appeared an open library. As a result, the apartment has become visually more spacious and has lost its previous rough division into rooms, the hall smoothly flows into the kitchen, and then into the living room. Also, a small corridor leading to the kid room was cut off from the volume of the hall by an arch painted in the same color.
Clients love bright colors, therefore, creamy yellow, cobalt blue, and candy pink appeared in this project. All these colors harmoniously exist with textured oak parquet, lacquered plywood, and dark-tinted wood panels.
